Climate Week challenges
This March from the 4th-10th we are getting involved in Climate Week…and that means we want you to as well!
Climate Week is all about raising awareness of climate change and shouting out about sustainable living.
Join the movement by taking on a challenge and raising DoAction pledges through The DoNation. Create a Do page for your challenge and we’ll add it to our Climate Week League page, then we can see how much carbon we can save together.
The person or team who raises the most sponsorship and submits the best photos will win £15 of FairShare music vouchers!*
We don’t mind what you do, just be part of the movement and do something whacky that will turn heads and inspire action. Here are some of our favourite ideas:
1. Do The DoNopoly Challenge
Navigate your way between the landmarks of the nation’s favourite board game, traveling by bike, foot, or any other man-powered means. Head here for more info.
2. Wax your chest
Enough said. Irresistable.
3. Bathe in baked beans
(preferably waste ones passed their sell by date...!)
4. Do the Organic Adventure sprint
It's a 2 hour orienteering challenge in Yorkshire (we have six free places to give away)

5. Do the cinnamon challenge
Sounds harmless enough... but don't be fooled.
6. Get your children to do a sponsored silence!
Another utterly genius challenge...
What next?
1. Decide on your challenge
2. Create an account and set up a Do page (click 'start raising DoActions')
3. Email and she'll add you to the league page
4. Tell your friends all about it, see how many pledges you can raise, how much carbon you can save.
5. List it on the Climate Week event pages.
* THE BELOVED SMALL PRINT:
1. To be eligible for the prize of music vouchers and t-shirts, the challenge has to take place between 4th and 10th March 2013.
2. I'm afraid we can't add companies to this league table; if you're a company and want to do a Climate Week challenge, do get in touch with Hermione at [email protected].
3. The challenge has to have received sponsorship from at least ten people, all of whose accounts must have been authenticated.
4. Two prizes will be awarded:
i. one to the team or individual who has raised the most sponsorship by 10th March 2013, and
ii. one to the team that submits the best photos of their challenge, so long as they also raised sponsorship from at least ten people. The judges decisions are final.
5. Last but by no means least: The DoNation hold no responsibility for your safety whilst doing any of these challenges. You do them at your own risk.
