Volunteers wanted!

We need you.

Last month we tried out a new and, in hindsight, blindingly obvious idea: getting a team of Doers together to do a challenge.

21 Doers took part in the Hever Castle triathlon with us, and it was a total blast. We want to do it again, but this time, with your help…

On 22nd March 2014 Endurance Life are hosting their Coastal Trail Series run at Beachy Head in Sussex, and we think it'd be a great opportunity to get another team of Doers together and smash the record 397 pledges record made for Hever. It's a beautiful run, challenging and hilly but incredibly sceneic; what's more, it's very well run and conveniently close to London. 

But we need to find someone to help us coordinate it all.  Are you game?

What would it involve?

Promoting it – shouting from the rooftops about the event and using your powers of persuasion to get as many budding Doers taking part in the run as possible.

Communicating with Doers – general chatter and organizing with those who’ve signed up, building a bit of a community around the event.

Training sessions – we all need to train, and it makes a good excuse to meet up in person before the event, so that we're surrounded by friendly faces on the day. Whether you organize your own thing, or just get everyone down to a ParkRun one Saturday, it’s your shout.

On the day – meeting and greeting Doers on the day, cheering them over the finish line and corralling them together for a team shot at the end. Oh, and dragging someone along to take some good photos wouldn’t go amiss either. 

The DoNation team would be on hand at all times to help you, and would manage all the technical side of things re. peoples sponsorship pages etc. Having just gone through the process, we've got lots of tips and templates to help you out too.

And we have lots of space in our very handy new offices in central London which you'd be welcome to use whenever you wanted.

 

Why would you do this?!

Well, for kudos. Karma points. A general hero-like reputation.

Because you love The DoNation and you would like to see more people using it.

There would be some more solid benefits too: great project management / event organizing / communications experience for your CV as well as some goodies from us and our Friends of The DoNation. 

And because we’ll love you forever if you do.
