Charlotte Spencer Projects: Cycle Stories: a touring art project where all the artists are travelling by bicycle

Cycle Stories 2013 is a professional artistic project, an adventure and an environmental campaign. With a collection of dancers, sound artists and a filmmaker, we will live Cycle Stories this summer across England and France, travelling by bicycle via a series of artistic residencies. This journey is our studio in the making of Walking Stories – an intricately choreographed audio walk for parks. A film will capture our unique journey and creative process as it unfolds.

Cycle Stories is rooted in sustainability. Through the project we will cycle around 2000km. We are cycling to keep our artistic feet closer to the ground; as environmental ACTION; to build community; to encourage cycling; and to see the landscape change.
