Emilia: Annapurna Circuit Trek - 186 miles in the Nepalese Himalaya
Dear All,
Most of you who know me well, know that I am rather keen on being very green! ;)
On the 25th of March I will be leaving UK for 3 weeks to complete the Annapurna Circuit trek that stretches for 300km (186 miles) around the Annapurna mountains in the Himalaya. The trek begins at low elevation and climbs up to 5,416 meter (17,768ft) Thorung La pass then passes through dozens of lowland and high mountain villages.
Yes, I'm asking you to sponsor me... But no, I'm not asking you to give me your money; I'm asking you to create change.
The DoNation is all about creating a more sustainable world, about protecting the environment on which our livelihoods depend.
HOW IT WORKS:
Browse the DoActions and find one (or more) that suits you, then make your pledge(s). Some are really easy; others take a bit more effort.
You only pledge to do your chosen action for two months and all the information you need is provided here on The DoNation, making it really easy to complete. You'll receive a few helpful reminders and then at the end of the two months you'll be asked to confirm how you got on.
So please, get doing!
Thank you very much in advance!
Em.

Day#1- After a 15 hours spent with a 5* plane service, now on a local, overnight bus to Pokhara! We had a 1.5 Snickers bar each for supper, it will be about 200km drive on a mountain route, apparently it will take us 12 hours, we are still smiling... There is about ~40 Nepalese men with a couple of their ladies and us, we haven't seen any other mountaineers but each other haha - 36 hours journey with 4 hours of proper sleep, we so didn't expect that but tomorrow will be a treat day, nice food & a comfy bed, well, we are imaginig this as we really need some energy back to be able to hit the mountains on Wed morning!xx
