Luke and Jess Ecotricity: Team Ecotricity do the Hever Castle Triathlon
Jess and I (Luke) are coming to the end of our first season competing in Triathlon events together. So far we have raced at Tewkesbury, Upton-on-Severn, Hardwick and Padstow. All of these events have been "Sprint" distance events comprising of a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run. Its safe to say we are hooked and keen to push ourselves further....
So next (and to end our season) we are going to take on the Hever Castle Olympic distance triathlon. This is a considerable step up from previous sprint distance races (twice the distance in fact) and is comprised of a 1500m lake swim (about 1 mile), a 40km bike ride (about 24 miles) and then a 10km run (around 6 miles)!!
We thought it would be great if our effort's could result in something a little more meaningful than just a sense of personal achievement so we are going to represent the charity DoNation, in partnership with Ecotricity, and support all the fantastic work which they do. So please help support this great charity and make a pledge today!
We're not asking you to give us your change: We're asking you to create change.
The DoNation is all about creating a more sustainable world, about protecting the environment on which our livelihoods depend. And the environment needs our action more than it needs our cash.
HOW IT WORKS:
Browse the DoActions and find one (or more) that suits you, then make your pledge(s). Some are really easy; others take a bit more effort.
You only pledge to do your chosen action for two months and all the information you need is provided here on The DoNation, making it really easy to complete. You'll receive a few helpful reminders and then at the end of the two months you'll be asked to confirm how you got on.
So please, get doing!
Thank you!!
